Amazing Optical Illusions by Professor Akiyoshi Kitaoka

Akiyoshi Kitaoka, a psychology professor who received Gold Prize of the 9th L'ORÉAL Art and Science of Color Prize in 2006 extensively studies visual illusions including geometrical (shape) illusions, lightness illusions, color illusions, motion illusions and other visual phenomena including visual completion or perceptual transparency.

The reason for describing him before going into the topic is because of his awesome illustrations. He wrote more than ten books of visual illusions or illusion designs.

Below are some of the illustration works of Professor Akiyoshi Kitaoka which we have taken from his website.
